STRENGTHS-  Athletic, with a high motor. No quit mentality.     Understands the game plan and his role.  Strong Upper body.     Makes presence felt.  Accelerates off the line.  Comes off the edge strong and aggressive.  Plays fast with good technique.  Trusts his instinct and abilities

WEAKNESSES-  Separating from blocks can serve as a challenge.   Needs to play lower.  Get caught by cut blocks.  Tackling window is small.  Struggles in space.  Change of direction is a limited

BIG PICTURE-  Shaquem Griffin is a Football player. He has the speed, technique, and instincts to play the position to go along with his high motor and never quit attitude. His obvious physical “handicap” raises concern in when it comes to coming off of blocks, creating separation and tackling consistency. His burst and aggression off the edge is better suited for the 3-4. He has the ability to utilized on passing downs and more than capable being used on special teams.
